With a passion for Christ...
Saved at the age of 9 years old, Talibah Durham wasted no time completely yielding herself to her newly found Savior. By the age of 12, she began to actively serve in ministry and it became clear to her parents the call on her life. However, as an adolescent, she didn't recognize her actions as ministry; instead she simply delighted in serving and pleasing her heavenly Father.
In 2002, Talibah identified her calling to teach the gospel. Throughout her adult years she has chartered and led two campus ministries at the University of Georgia where she obtained her bachelors in Consumer Economics. By 2005, Talibah was licensed as a teacher of the Gospel and ordained an Elder in the Body of Christ. Wherein, she served as an overseeing Elder and Director of Biblical Education for five years. In 2008, she was assigned her first church plant initiative in Snellville, Georgia. As her passion for serving the Body of Christ in any capacity grew, so did her preparation. In 2013 she earned her first Master’s Degree in Theological Studies from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. And is currently working on her second Master's In Global Studies and Apologetics.
Pastor Talibah believes that true teaching should transcend the boundaries of the pulpit, and extend as a way of life through truth, compassion and labor. As the Founder and Executive Director of Dorcas House, a Second Chance Home for battered women and teen mothers, she works to assist them in attaining their educational goals and financial independence.
From 2009 until recently she has served as a Staff Pastor at New Covenant Worship Center, under the leadership of Senior Pastor Howard Conine in Athens, Georgia. In January 2014, Pastor Talibah was blessed and released to launch ReNew Worship Center, and further pursue her life’s call, passion and work in the Kingdom of God.
